NMC Burbank 5 Miler

On Tuesday night a group of FitCampers met Nick and I for a different kind of workout, a 5 mile off-road trail run put on by the North Medford Running Club.  We had a great group of 12 of us run the race and a few had never run off-road or that distance in their life.  Congratulations to all those who made it, took on the challenge and crossed the finish line.   After the race was over it was high-fives all around and an overwhelming feeling of accomplishment and success for all.

Reminder: No Classes July 5th

The studio will be closed on Monday, July 5th.  Classes will resume as normally scheduled on Tuesday, July 6th.  Enjoy the long weekend and be safe!

If you are feeling overly ambitious on Monday and need to get in a FitCamp workout then check out one of our vacation workouts.  If your body needs a break from all the hard training then enjoy the rest.  Be smart with your diet and make healthy choices.  Tuesday will be here quickly and you’ll be feeling it big time after a weekend of hot dogs and budweisers.  :)

FitCamp Pilates Starts this Friday

Starting this Friday we will be offering a new class at the studio, FitCamp Pilates.  Jennifer St. Laurent, a local business owner, Pilates Instructor and long-time FitCamp Member will be leading the class.  Jenn is an amazing instructor and is going to be running this class for 8 weeks to help us with our flexibility, body alignment and core strength.

Day/Time:  Fridays at 10:30am
Dates:  Starting July 2nd – August 20th.
Location:  FitCamp Studio
Cost:  Free for all FitCamp members

Every Second Counts

Saturday night we had our first ever FitCamp Social/Movie night.  Many thanks if you made it, we always love sharing new experiences with everyone at the studio.  If you didn’t get a chance to drop in for the show here is a quick trailer of the movie we watched.  (Be careful if your kids or boss are around). 

(After the movie we did 3 rounds of Fran, 6 round of Cindy and 9 one-arm deadlifts with 450lbs)

Also, before the show a bunch of us ran the Fitchburg Police Association Community 5k road race.  The race director and volunteers did a great job with traffic and the post race get together was a blast hanging out with fellow FitCampers and meeting new people.  We’re definitely going to add that one to our annual race calendar for next year.

A big Congratulations is in order for the following FitCamp members who did the race on Saturday representing the studio:  (in no particular order)
