“Over this past Christmas I ran into a friend who was a member of Ultimate FitCamp.  He told about the classes and the progress he had made.  He asked me to go to a couple of classes to see if I liked it so I decided what the heck.  I showed up for my first class on Monday, December 15, 2008.  After the 5 minute warm up running the infamous stairs I thought to myself, “what have I got myself into?”  I completed the class and proceeded to come to the Wednesday and Friday classes and I have been hooked ever since.  I joined the FitCamp and have not looked back.  I have been taking 5:15am class 5 days a week ever since and sometimes I even mix in a double session and take a night class.  I feel great and I am energized for the rest of the day.  I have also worked with Patrick and Nick to get me on a good health diet without starving myself and I love it.

The best thing about Fit Camp is the members.  They are great.  The people are supportive and just as competitive as I am which I think is one of the reasons FitCamp so successful.  Your classmates want to see you reach your goals and they push you to get there.

“When my son was born in 2001, I had weighed 165 lbs. At that time, my main goal was to lose those extra 8 lbs that I gained during pregnancy. Sounds pretty easy, right? Wrong! Throughout those years I tried numerous diets and workouts but nothing seemed to help. Then in 2008, having been a long-time fan of NBC’s “Biggest Loser,” I stumbled across Ultimate FitCamp and immediately wanted to find out more about the program! It was exactly what I had been looking for…a small group environment with a Personal Trainer approach.

So in May 2008, at the starting weight of 159 lbs, my transformation began…and it still continues today. Unlike other fitness environments, where one may feel intimidated, Ultimate FitCamp is unique. Patrick and Nick are excellent instructors. Not only do they teach you the proper methodology, but they get to know you as a person, clearly understanding your personal objectives while steering you in the right direction to ultimately reach your goal(s). At some point everyone will hit a plateau or, like myself, several. It’s during these times, when one feels “stuck,” that Patrick and Nick’s guidance shines through. They take the time to discuss the issue at hand and make suggestions and adjustments accordingly. This alone is a great benefit!

At the beginning of this journey, I honestly did not know what to expect from Ultimate FitCamp. But over the past year I’ve experienced so many positive changes, both inside and out, mentally and physically. It has led me to a greater awareness of my overall fitness and nutritional lifestyle and for that I am grateful. “A couple years ago soon after my wife and I welcomed twins into our family, I weighed 240 lbs and realized I needed to do something about it.  I had been an athlete my whole life and was the captain of my lacrosse team in college (when I weighed 190 lbs), but let myself go for almost 10 years.  I was sitting in a Chinese food restaurant one night when I saw a flyer for a 10K road race.  I signed up for the race and decided that would be my goal.  It took me about 6 months of running almost everyday to get down to 210 lbs, where I hit a plateau and stayed between 200 and 210 lbs for for almost a year.  Somewhat frustrated by my lack of ability to continue to lose weight, build strength, and get faster, I was introduced by a friend to FitCamp and their nutrition program.  Since I made the commitment to do FitCamp with the support of the instructors, I am down to under 175 lbs, less than 10% body fat… I also feel stronger and have much more energy!  In the last 4 months I finished the Boston Marathon, ran a 5:39 mile, and am training for my first triathlon.
