Who is Heather Lynn?

Heather Lynn is the newest addition to our growing CFEXP staff. Heather is currently establishing her new Massage Therapy business at the studio as well as heading up the new CrossFit EXP Kids program launching in just a few weeks. If you have yet to meet her or want to know a little bit more about Heather here is her story…

“Since falling head over heels for the sports of soccer and endurance running at the age of 6 Heather has consistently nurtured her passion for health and fitness. Graduating with a B.A in Outdoor Adventure Leadership from Sterling College, VT, a unique 60 student environmental studies school, she rounded out her fitness passion to include the planning and execution of outdoor adventures for herself and children. While at Sterling she was a competitive member of the Timber Sports Team, began practicing yoga and became increasingly involved in alternative healing and health regiments.

Heather took her passion for nutrition and natural healing to Tempe, Arizona where she pursued her Professional Massage Therapy education at the Arizona College of Massage Therapy, graduating in 2003. Attending the Utah College of Massage Therapy in 2004, she graduated with a concentration in Clinical Massage Therapy, a program with a focus on medical massage and rehabilitative modalities. Heather practiced massage in Arizona before moving back to Massachusetts.

She put her intentions of starting her own massage business on hold to have her two sons, Stephen and Liam, (whom both receive regular massage).

After having her second son, Heather sought a new athletic challenge, beyond her endurance mountain running and “globo-gym” weightlifting. Enter CrossFit. Heather discovered CFEXP and it was love at first visit. After having been an active member for nearly a year she decided to take her new-found passion a step further and become a CrossFit Level 1 trainer. As her experience within the CFEXP community deepened she became increasingly inspired to start her massage business. EXP seemed the perfect place to offer massage with a focus on athletic conditioning.

Heather’s goal as the massage therapist at CFEXP is to contribute to the increased performance, recovery, mobility and general relaxation of the athletes through various sport specific modalities. In addition, Heather has completed the CrossFit Level 1 Mobility Certification.

Heather’s massage business, “MassageAsRx” is located on the second floor of CFEXP and she is currently accepting new clients. For more information on how Heather can help you move better and feel amazing you can contact her via e-mail.
